What is a pressure washer foamer, and how does it work?
A pressure washer foamer, also known as a foam cannon or foam sprayer, is an attachment for pressure washers that is specifically designed to generate a thick layer of foam for cleaning applications. It works by combining water, detergent or soap, and air to produce a foam that adheres to surfaces, providing enhanced cleaning power and prolonged dwell time. Here's how a pressure washer foamer typically works:
Attachment: The pressure washer foamer is connected to the pressure washer lance or wand using a quick-connect coupling or threaded connection. It is usually attached in place of the regular spray nozzle.
Detergent or Soap Reservoir: The foam cannon has a reservoir or container that holds the detergent or soap solution. This reservoir may be located on top of the foam cannon or as a separate container connected via a tube. Some foamers have adjustable settings to control the amount of detergent or soap mixed with water.
Mixing Chamber: Inside the foam cannon, there is a mixing chamber where the detergent or soap is mixed with water and air. The pressure washer forces water from the machine into the chamber, and the detergent or soap is introduced into the water stream through a tube or adjustable valve.
