What are the components of a pressure washer spray gun?
A pressure washer spray gun, also known as a wand or lance, is a handheld device that connects to the pressure washer hose and delivers the high-pressure water for cleaning. It typically consists of several components that work together to control the water flow and spray pattern. Here are the main components of a pressure washer spray gun:
Handle: The handle is the part of the spray gun that is gripped by the user. It is usually made of durable and ergonomic material to provide a comfortable and secure grip during operation.
Trigger: The trigger is a lever or button located on the handle. When squeezed or pressed, it controls the flow of water through the spray gun. Releasing the trigger stops the water flow.
Spray Nozzle Holder: The spray nozzle holder is a fitting or connection point on the front end of the spray gun where the spray nozzle or tip is attached. It secures the nozzle in place and directs the water flow through the nozzle.
Safety Lock: Some pressure washer spray guns have a safety lock mechanism. It is usually a small lever or button located near the trigger that must be engaged or disengaged to operate the trigger. The safety lock helps prevent accidental spraying and provides added safety when the spray gun is not in use.
Spray Nozzle/Tips: The spray nozzle or tip is the removable component that determines the spray pattern and angle of the water. There are different types of spray nozzles available, such as 0-degree, 15-degree, 25-degree, 40-degree, and soap nozzle. Each nozzle provides a specific spray pattern and is suitable for different cleaning tasks.
Quick-Connect Coupling: The quick-connect coupling is a fitting or connector that allows for easy and secure attachment of the spray gun to the pressure washer hose. It enables quick and tool-free connection and disconnection of the spray gun.
Swivel Connector (Optional): Some pressure washer spray guns may have a swivel connector at the point where the spray gun connects to the pressure washer hose. The swivel connector allows for freedom of movement and prevents the hose from twisting or tangling during use.

What are some common issues with pressure washer spray guns and how do I troubleshoot them?
Here are some common issues that can occur with pressure washer spray guns and how to troubleshoot them:
Low Pressure: If you're experiencing low water pressure from your pressure washer spray gun, it could be due to a clogged nozzle or a blocked water inlet filter. Check the nozzle and filter for any debris and clean them as necessary.
Leaking: If you notice water leaking from the spray gun, it could be due to a damaged O-ring. You can replace the O-ring easily by purchasing a replacement kit online or from a local hardware store.
Trigger Failure: If the trigger doesn't engage or is difficult to depress, it could be due to a faulty trigger mechanism. Check the trigger mechanism for any damage or debris and replace it if necessary.
Difficulty Adjusting Spray Pattern: If you have difficulty adjusting the spray pattern of your pressure washer spray gun, it could be due to a clogged or damaged nozzle. Clean or replace the nozzle to restore proper function.
Hose Kinks: If your hose kinks and limits the water flow, try to straighten the hose without any sharp bends. Alternatively, you can switch to a more flexible hose that is less prone to kinks.
Sticky Hose Connection: If you struggle to disconnect your spray gun from the hose, you may be applying too much pressure to the quick-connect coupling. Try to rotate or wiggle the gun slightly to ease the connection.
